2025 Mock Draft 1.0
All 32 Picks from the First Round of the
A little over two weeks until the NFL draft and it’s time to try and predict a few things. It is notoriously hard to predict the NFL draft, so I’m hoping to get just a handful of these right after the top two picks.
1. Tennessee Titans
Cam Ward, QB, Miami
The closer we get to the draft, the more it seems that the Titans will select Cam Ward with the number one pick. Ward will bring an elite arm along with his ability to play within the structure of an NFL offense. His accuracy when he uses his athletic ability was also noteworthy throughout his college career.
2.Cleveland Browns
Abdul Carter, DE/Edge, Penn State
Another player that seems more and more likely to be drafted at this spot. Pairing Carter with Myles Garrett could create a lethal pass rush that would hopefully be able to slow down the likes of Joe Burrow and Lamar Jackson in division. Carter’s explosiveness and bend is rare for a player at his size, and he often dominated tackles in a very competitive BIG 10.
3.New York Giants
Shedeur Sanders, QB, Colorado
This is where things can start to get unpredictable in this year’s draft. The Giants could opt to go with Travis Hunter or Mason Graham here, but they still need a QB for the future. Although they signed Jameis Winston and Russell Wilson to short-term deals, Sanders is still very much in play here for the Giants. Securing the QB of the future, while not having to force him to play week 1 is something the Giants should be thinking very hard about.
4.New England Patriots
Travis Hunter, CB/WR, Colorado
What a position for the Patriots to be in. By taking Drake Maye last year, the Patriots should have the option to take one of the top three prospects with their 4th overall pick. With Abdul Carter gone, this comes down to Travis Hunter or Mason Graham. In free agency, the Patriots signed Milton Williams to pair with Christian Barmore to form the interior of their defense. Taking Hunter here can give Drake Maye a true number one receiver. Or he can pair with Christian Gonzalez at corner and create one of the best tandems in the league. This is a true win-win scenario for New England.
5.Jacksonville Jaguars
Mason Graham, DT, Michigan
Similar to the Patriots, the Jaguars will likely be able to choose between Hunter and Graham here. With Hunter going to New England, this leaves Graham for Jacksonville. A true disruptor in the middle, he should be able to make an immediate impact for the Jaguars. Already having Travon Walker and Josh Hines-Allen on the edges, this would solidify a very strong line going forward.
6.Las Vegas Raiders
Ashton Jeanty, RB, Boise State
After losing Josh Jacobs in free agency last year, the Raiders run game was putrid in 2024. Jeanty is a generational running back prospect that should immediately shoot some life into the new Geno Smith led offense. The Raiders also lack playmakers around Smith, having this pick make even more sense.
7.New York Jets
Armand Membou, OT, Missouri
I was deciding between Membou and Will Campbell here for the Jets, but with Membou having more experience at right tackle, I think the Jets might lean towards him. A little bit of a shorter tackle at 6’3, Membou has the athleticism and arm length to compensate. The Jets should be able to slide him in at right tackle day 1 and help protect new QB Justin Fields.
8.Carolina Panthers
Mykel Williams, DE/Edge, Georgia
Bryce Young definitely needs some more help at WR, but the Panthers produced the league’s lowest pressure rate in 2024. Williams is a freak physically, but still a little raw as a pash rusher. Long term, this could be a home run for Carolina, and Williams should at least be able to help defend the run early in his career.
9.New Orleans Saints
Will Johnson, CB, Michigan
Cornerback is the biggest need for the Saints, and I think they would be very happy if Will Johnson was still there at number 9. Coming into the 2024 season, Johnson was seen as a top 5 prospect, but some injuries derailed his season a little bit. Long and athletic, Johnson could be a true lockdown corner for the Saints. Something they had been missing after Marshawn Lattimore’s injuries and subsequent trade to Washington.
10. Chicago Bears
Will Campbell, OT, LSU
The Bears beefed up their interior offensive line this offseason, but Braxton Jones is going into his contract year and might not be around long term. Johnson could compete with and take over for Jones as the left tackle of the future. If injuries hit the Bears offensive line this year too, they could slide Campbell in at guard.
11.San Francisco 49ers
Shemar Stewart, DE/Edge, Texas A&M
The 49ers could opt to go with an offensive tackle or defensive tackle here, but with Stewart still on the board I think they go with the edge rusher. Stewart is an athletic freak and has measurables only comparable to Myles Garrett. Although a little raw, I think Robert Saleh can get the most out of Stewart and he should receive a lot of opportunities to rush the passer playing opposite of Nick Bosa.
12. Dallas Cowboys
Tetoria McMillian, WR, Arizona
Dallas lacks a true number 2 receiver behind Cedee Lamb. McMillian could slide right in there and help create a revamped Cowboys offense. Still some questions about his measurables, I think McMillian can succeed with Lamb drawing double teams. This just feels like a Jerry Jones pick to me.
13.Miami Dolphins
Kelvin Banks Jr, OT, Texas
The Dolphins offensive line over the last couple of seasons has been a mess. It just got even messier with Terron Armstead announcing his retirement. Banks is an NFL ready left tackle and should be a great replacement to protect Tua’s front side.
14.Indianapolis Colts
Tyler Warren, TE, Penn State
Whether it’s Anthony Richardson or Daniel Jones throwing the ball, the Colts still need more playmakers on offense. The best tight end in college football, Warren can immediately make an impact for the Colts and could be a great security blanket for whoever is playing QB.
15.Atlanta Falcons
Kenneth Grant, DT, Michigan
The Falcons need help everywhere on the defensive line, but I don’t think they pass up on Kenneth Grant here. After losing Grady Jarrett, Grant can step in as a massive presence in the middle for the Falcons. Throughout his college years, Grant was able to add more to his pass rushing abilities by flashing more than just a powerful bull rush.
16.Arizona Cardinals
Matthew Golden, WR, Texas
Arizona needs a burner at WR to further help Kyler Murray and Golden is just the guy after running a 4.29 40-yard dash. After drafting Marvin Harrison Jr last year, Golden could give the Cardinals a lethal passing attack for years to come.
17.Cincinnati Bengals
Malaki Starks, S, Georgia
The Bengals need help almost everywhere on defense, but the secondary is the biggest hole in my opinion. Trey Hendrickson is still on the team, and I think that situation gets resolved this offseason with him agreeing to an extension. Starks is an elite run defender and has the athletic ability to cover the back half of the field in coverage which is something the Bengals desperately need.
18.Seattle Seahawks
Tyler Booker, OG, Alabama
The Seahawks could go with a receiver or cornerback here as well, but Booker is the best interior offensive line prospect in this draft in my opinion. A physically imposing prospect, Booker uses his power to his absolute advantage. There are still some questions about his consistency, but he should be able to slide in day 1 at guard for the Seahawks.
19.Tampa Bay Buccaneers
James Pearce Jr, DE/Edge, Tennessee
The Buccaneers most glaring need is off-ball linebacker, but that has become more and more unpopular in the first round. They also need some help off the edge which is where James Pearce Jr fits in. Once thought to be a top 5 pick, Pearce has all of the physical abilities to be an elite pass rusher in the NFL.
20.Denver Broncos
Omarion Hampton, RB, North Carolina
The Broncos don’t have a ton of glaring needs but do need a RB1. Hampton is the second best running back in the draft in my opinion and can contribute immediately to the Broncos rushing attack. A powerful runner, Hampton can be a guy to wear down defenses late in the season.
21.Pittsburgh Steelers
Walter Nolen, DT, Ole Miss
Cam Heyward isn’t getting any younger and the Steelers will need to find his replacement soon. Walter Nolen can make an impact as a rotational guy his rookie year and then take over as the DT of the future. There are some worries about his lack of production at Texas A&M before transferring to Ole Miss, but the Steelers are an organization that should be able to get the most out of him.
22. Los Angeles Chargers
Emeka Egbuka, WR, Ohio State
The Chargers could opt to go with Colston Loveland here if they want a tight end, but I think they can’t pass up on Egbuka here if he’s available. Justin Herbert can breathe a sigh of relief if this is the pick because I think Egbuka can be a legit number one receiver in the NFL.
23.Green Bay Packers
Derrick Harmon, DT, Oregon
With the top receiver off the board, I think the Packers take Derrick Harmon here. Paired with the overall lackluster pass rush from the Packers in 2024, Kenny Clark is aging and could be a cap causality in 2026. Harmon is a guy that can step in and immediately contribute on the Packers defensive line. He has natural power that can disrupt offenses and could be a key piece in a young Packers defense. The cornerback class is also deep enough where the Packers can still draft a very solid guy on day 2.
24.Minnesota Vikings
Nick Emmanwori, S, South Carolina
Although they re-signed Harrison Smith, the Vikings should still be looking for a long-term solution at that position. Nick Emmanwori is an athletic freak that can play all over the field on defense. Brian Flores is a great defensive coordinator and he should be able to get the best out of Emmanwori’s talents.
25.Houston Texans
Josh Simmons, OT, Ohio State
After trading Laremy Tunsil this offseason, tackle is a glaring need for the Texans. Simmons is a menace in the run game and is athletic enough to get out and move in space. He missed most of 2024 due to injury, but if he passes all of his medicals, Simmons could be a great fit here for the Texans.
26.Los Angeles Rams
Jalon Walker, LB, Georgia
I know I said earlier that off-ball linebackers aren’t the most popular first round picks anymore, but being able to get the best prospect at the position at the tail end of the first round is good value. Walker has a solid combination of twitch and power which makes him excel in the run game. It may take a little bit for him to get adjusted to the NFL passing game, but I trust the Rams organization with his development.
27.Baltimore Ravens
Grey Zabel, OT, North Dakota
The Ravens need some help at guard, and Ronnie Staley is back on a one-year deal at Left Tackle. Zabel is versatile enough to play guard, having played it in college. Some scouts think that guard might be the best long-term position for him as well. Zabel can step in at guard immediately for the Ravens, and his experience across the line in college is something useful for the team going forward.
28.Detroit Lions
Mike Green, DE/Edge, Marshall
There are some question marks around the players lining up opposite of Aidan Hutchinson for the Lions. They currently have Marcus Davenport, but his career has been very underwhelming so far. Right away, Green can be a situational pass rusher, but needs to add some bulk to his frame to become an every down player that can defend the run.
29.Washington Commanders
Jahdae Barron, CB, Texas
Despite having Marshawn Lattimore and Mike Sainristil, the Commanders could use some more help in the secondary. Barron has the experience to play in the slot or outside, and athletic ability to keep up with the WR 1’s of the NFL. If he’s still here for the Commanders it would be an absolute steal.
30.Buffalo Bills
Shavon Revel Jr, CB, East Carolina
The Bills have some real issues at Cornerback after trading former first rounder Kaiir Elam this offseason. Coming off a torn ACL, Revel might not be 100% to start training camp which could hinder his start but I think he has the tools to be a CB1 for the Bills here. Physically, he can match up with the bigger receivers in the league, and he was fast enough on tape to keep up with the quicker receivers as well.
31.Kansas City Chiefs
Nic Scourton, DE/Edge, Texas A&M
The Chiefs got dominated in the trenches in the past Super Bowl. Scourton can immediately help them with this being a bulky 285 lbs. For being that weight, he is remarkably athletic as well. It may take him a couple years to fully come into form, but he can contribute with the pass rush right away.
32.Philadelphia Eagles
Jack Sawyer, DE/Edge, Ohio State
The Eagles have a pretty stacked roster all around, so this was a little tough. They lost Josh Sweat and Milton Williams in free agency so I could see them taking a defensive lineman with this pick. Sawyer should be able to contribute in the run game right away while working as a rotational pass rusher. The Eagles are deep enough where they can afford to have Sawyer as a plug-in-play guy for his first couple of seasons.
